Pricing FAQ
How do we calculate Row Limit?
We count and store the total number of rows across each Activity
Stream every day. The limit applies to your largest Activity
Stream and allows us to ensure that you have the appropriate
infrastructure for your company's data size.
What is an Activity?
Activities are the core building blocks in Narrator. Each activity
represents an important customer action (ex: Completed Order,
Viewed Page, Submitted Support Ticket, etc...). All data tables
and analyses in Narrator are built on top of these activities.
What is an Activity Stream?
The Activity Stream is the single 11-column data model that powers
everything in Narrator. It's a collection of customer activities.
Most companies have only a single type of customer and thus
require only one Activity Stream (ex: Customer Viewed Page,
Customer Completed Order). Depending on the complexity of your
business, you could have multiple Activity Streams. For example,
an e-commerce business might have a warehouse Activity Stream to
answer questions about warehouse efficiency, or a transportation
business might have a vehicle Activity Stream to answer questions
about charging station location and vehicle efficiency.
Multi-Tenant vs Dedicated?
On dedicated infrastructure, all data is processed in a separate
environment. On multi-tenant infrastructure, your company is
sharing resources with other companies. We recommend dedicated
infrastructure for larger companies because it gives you more
computing power: like deploying your own system but it's managed
by Narrator.
On both multi-tenant and dedicated infrastructure, your data is encrypted at rest and in transfer using a unique encryption key per company, all data is stored in separate S3 buckets, and it is impossible for your data to be accessed by another Narrator client.

What are Live Narratives?
Narratives are Narrator's twist on dashboards and analyses:
actionable data analyses in a story-like format. All users can
create and manually refresh Narratives, and each run is logged as
a snapshot so you can always go back and see changes in your
results. "Live" Narratives run automatically based on a schedule
of your choice.
